Mike Polito will be giving a four week (four classes) workshop in movement practice. Each class will focus on different elements, and will include; play, flexibility and mobility drills, physical riddles, sensitivity awareness, hand balancing, strength. and other drills and practices to bring our body and minds once again closer to nature. Through this movement series, you will learn many of the tools to progress and improve as a mover, with improved strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility.
Just ran a half marathon on April 13th to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. So far have over $1,400 of our $2,000 goal. Still rising ! Thank you! A couple of my friends and I completed it in 01:49:09 without any preliminary training. I was also doing it in honor of my dad. I decided to run the last 7 miles barefoot. It actually felt great !
An AMAZING Ido Portal workshop in Dallas Texas I just returned from April 1 & 2. Johnny John Sapinoso and Sean Albo Nicolle were amazing teachers. I will be attending more of these Ido Portal Workshops in the future for sure. The Group of movers that attended were a joy to work with all weekend. If you have the opportunity to attend an Ido Portal workshop, make it a priority. You will not be disappointed.
Well, one word comes to mind when packing for an out of state workshop. SIMPLE. I normally only carry bare minimum clothing, underwear, personal items, food/snacks, phone charger, and a good book. I figure if i forget something or discover i need something other, i can purchase it there. In the photo is my entire backpack contents for an out of state weekend workshop. The only other thing I will add to this is a set of gymnastic rings, some chalk, and maybe another bar of Dark Chocolate. KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID (KISS)
Before practicing your handstand skills, parallette training or any other type of hand balancing that requires pressure on the wrist, it is a good idea to prep a bit before. These exercises should be part of your daily practice as would the squat or passive hang.
Those of you looking for an excellent free standing pull-up system, look no further. I highly recommend the Bodyweight Master by Dragon Door. This thing is a monster ! Easy to set up, and make adjustments to your desired exercise. I have attached a video demonstrating.

Being an avid follow of Ido Portal, and his Movement Culture over the past years, and attending his workshops, i have found his approach to be very valuable to me, and have made great gains physically by following his approach and philosophy regarding movement, strength and mobility. He has been a great inspiration.
